I almost past this town on my rush home. I knew I had to shoot this place as it seemed like the kind of place that would look very different in twenty years.

Way before these houses were here the "Chumash" were the Native American people who settled this coastal area approximately 10,000 to 11,000 BC. Modern place names with Chumash origins include Malibu, Lompoc, Ojai, Pismo Beach, Point Mugu, Piru, Lake Castaic, Cayucos and Simi Valley.

Growing up on the coast forces one to witness change whether it be from mother nature or ourselves. May never forget how we got here.
