Of all the coastlines in San Diego I doubt few are as well known as La Jolla.

Having been witness to changes in this city this is a coastline that has changed little visually.

I do remember as a kid jumping off of the cliffs way off in the distance in this image. It was called “bear claw” as you had to clear bear claw shaped cliffs below.

Stuff like jumping off cliffs is not allowed any more. Too many got hurt especially during low tide.

Thank goodness I can surf...

I had acquired a full frame camera the previous year.  Something I had been craving for a long while.
